Almost all of the techniques I've seen for making bullet hits on people have to do with having blood spray, burst, or pump out of a specific point on the body. I was thinking one day "don't bullet hits go into the body, not out of?" Why then does blood come OUT of the body? It doesn't make any sense to me. I may be wrong here, I'm not a doctor and have never seen anyone get hit with a bullet before. I was just wondering. Am I right, or is there something I overlooked? |

i see it the same way but maybe it works kind of like a meteor hitting the ground. the hit going in isn't as strong as the hit going out but it there(or at least i beleive it would)Just a thought, take a 2 liter bottle secure it to a post or somthing. get some one to zoom in with a camrea from far away on the bottle so it can see from both sides. Shot it and look at it after to see what DOES happen. hope this helps. Gnewbee |

If you get cut a vein or artery the blood sprays out. If you've ever had a fairly deep cut on your head you'll know that the blood comes out like there's no tomorrow. When I was younger I was playing with my friends and little brother and accidentally decked him in the head with a wooden sword, right on the bridge of his nose. The cut sent blood spraying everywhere and I didn't even break his nose or anything. And don't forget about exit wounds. The blood obviuosly comes out of the body during these hits.-Kavan |

hey use foam swords they are more fun(unless you like getting hurt) check out: http://home.clara.net/arianrhod/Aldebaran/DoItYourself/index.html or http://www.mindspring.com/~solarinc/weapons.html#q2 not fx related but fun to play with and if you need to do a medival movie or something like Xena. Check out the section in the first one on how to make latex weapons they look very realistic if you do it right. Have fun and don't kill yourself, Gnewbee |

I used to think the same way. With my bullet hits you can control them to just make a little blod fly out(not an explosion like an exit wound) or even put a little powder on the outside of the hit(flour) and only fill it up with a little blood. However a lot of time some blood blasts outward when someone is shot. Almost always a little blood spills outward(unless they are not wearing clothing and the bullet hits the bare skin). |
