One part in my movie calls for a long country road to have burnt cars, and tanks, live stock... on the sides of the roads. I have a road to use junked cars to use and dummys for dead bodys, but I need to make dummys of dead cows, or talk to a farmer and ask him if I can give the cows sleeping pills. I dont know how should I do this. I want it to look like the country roads in WW2 just after a big fight.

Uhh, country roads? In what country? If this is post WWII damage you are going to have to emulate another country. Most major points of damage were in Germany and Japan, and (someone correct me if I'm wrong), these countries aren't exactly stocked with cows, dead or otherwise. Maybe France? Anyway, most farmers will just laugh if you offer to give their cows sleeping pills. Besides which, the cows would still be breathing, defeating the illusion of death. You might want to re-think this one.

I'v looked in history books at the pictures of blowen up cars, and tank, and dead cows on the side of the road. Also my movie is about the Germans making a time machine, the germans go into the future and take all sorts of future tanks and equiptment backinto time. A german SS woman go's into the future to warn the americans that the germans are wining the war. The nowday Americans go back in time and help fight the Germans. The Americans win and cover this up by rewrighing the history books.

This was a very vivid description. If you would like to know more about the movie in detail e-mail me at ejseidlitz@snowcrest.net Beleave me it's beter when you know the details.

what shape is the cow in?

If it was blown up most of the gut area would be blown out and skin flaps would be all over the place so if what you did was made bulk of the cow out of paper mache and chicken wire, then got some fake fur and crap from value village and (sorry this is sick but is a real easy way) Then got a real cow head or somthing from a local slaughter hose. Pour fake blood and guts all over the place. voila! instant moo juice.

Hope this helps.

THESE COWS DON'T NEED TO BE IN EVERY SHOT, DO THEY?SHOW A STILL OF SOME BUILDINGS, ANOTHER SHOT OF THE COWS,AND END OFF WITH YOUR BURNT UP AUTOS. IF YOU CAN'T GET THE IMAGE LIVE, USE A PC AND PIECE THE IMAGE TOGETHER USING THAT BOOK OF YOURS AS CLIP ART.I HAVE TO SIDE WITH JAY, IT WILL BE HARD TO CONVINCE A FARMER TO ALLOW YOU TO DRUG HIS HEIFERS.

It just hit me! I know what you can do! Go farm to farm until you find a cow that can act! May cost a great deal to cast him/her, but that will work!! Or, go kill a cow! Cheap! Oh, hi guys. No, I don't really need a jacket, I'm not cold. Oh, The arms tie in the back? Cool.

Are you into 3d and compositing? It's my solution for everything these days. There are many cow objects available on cds and the net. Making them rotten is up to your abilities. Putting them into the scene is even tougher, especially if you're moving the camera.

Good luck.

After a few days, dead cows don't look like cows. Check some of those history books and you will notice such livestock in the background of those photos. Within a day they are bloated like balloons. In a week they are decaying lumps of flesh and bone. It may be easier to simulate a dead one than you think, but I don't know. From a distance you may be able to get away with some piles of dirt shaped and painted like cows.

Incidently, I lived in Germany for about 3.5 years and there was plenty of loose livestock. Sometimes it would be crossing a road and you would have to stop the car until they passed.
