Try searches. That's how I found this place!------------------ movies wouldn't be movies without the SPECIAL EFFECTS!

If your working with video than I have a couple of ideas. I don't know your level of experience, so if I'm talking down to you don't be offended. The most common form of blue/green screening in video is called a chroma key, that's what the weather man uses. There are several SEG's (special effects generators) that offer a chroma key function, such as the Video MX-1, it's pretty cheap, and isn't the best looking keyer, but it does the job. Another option you might consider is your local cable access facilities. Most cable access channels have a studio of some kind, so do many high schools, they may have a chromakeyer built into their SEG, and a blue/green screen. That would be your best option, since their equipment is usually pretty good. You could also rent a chroma-keyer. |

Why not use computer? I was planning on getting a mixing board until I relized how cheap computer stuff is. If you have a fairly good computer, all you need is: Iomega Buz ($200) and Adobe Premiere ($300). The really good part about going the computer way is that you can do about 15 different kinds of transparency besides editing, sound mixing, transitions, etc. The main bad part is that it can't be done live; its a pretty long process.Yak@u Later, Peter |

I've tried the computer way. my harddrive isn't big enough. I might expand it soon. I already got adobe premier (for free; present) but I don't have a capture card and didn't get one because I wouldn't have enough space to edit more than 1 minute at a time. if I get a new, 8 gig hard drive, then I'd do all the editing on my computer but since I don't have a big enough hard drive, or a capture card, I just went without the computer. plus since I am an idiot I can't figure out how to use premiere. I downloaded a few video clips of the internet and I can't figure out how to edit those. thanks. |
