uhm... ok, here comes another of those basic questions.
whats the differance between a non-linear and a linear editing system.

Is the non-linear the better one?
What program should i buy?

Linear: editing decks, VCRs, mixers, headaches, less expensive.
Non-linear: computers, software.
Linear: more wires, more junk, more taken-up space.
Non-linear: Less wires, less junk, better outcome, faster, less headaches.
visit: http://www.videoguys.com they have great comparisons, explenations, and tons more on editing. Sorry, i'm just too tired to get into anything beyond the above. happy net-surfing!

oh yeah, and, non-linear is the breakfast of champions. my advice if you've got some cash, get yourself a non-linear editing system (NLEs). my advice if you haven't got the cash to spend, NLEs. This is Jack -- signing off.
