Some people may laugh at this question, but is there a way to make at least somewhat good-looking subtitles and/or credits, like the 'scrolling down' style they use at the end of movies, and the 'appear on the screen' they use for the beginning. Please don't tell me to put a piece of paper in front of the screen with the camera still rolling. I've tried it before and it looks too freaking stupid!
P.S.
WITHOUT USING COMPUTER PROGRAMS!!!

you can buy a titler. I don't use one cause they don't give enough selections. check out the sima website. they only give you a limited number of fonts and stuff though. like I said, I don't have one so I don't know much about them but you can get one for around $150 I think.

Do whatever you can to get a computer, or make friends with people who have one. Computers are the only wat to go, and provide some sort of solution to anything you can think of.

I do have a computer, but the problem is the programs:I don't know where to get the right program because I am completely clueless about which program is right for me. I don't need an expensive one. Infact, I want the cheapest and most low-tech one possible; I dont think i'll be doing anyhing fancy with it. I just want a way to make credits appear other than stopping my camera and putting a typed peice of paper in front of it! (I mostly use my computer for typing and gaming.)
thanx anyway, though.

I haven't tried this, but if you're using Adobe Premiere to edit in, and Photoshop for text, try making an image of your text in photoshop, then import it into Premiere, then use the motion tools in Premiere to scroll the page. I've scrolled things in Premiere, but haven't tried to do a huge image containing text.

Good luck!
