Hi crazy clayer! I love that name! Please tell me more about the scene....do you want to do it all in one cut? From long shot? Who's doing the impaling, and who's the victim? Thanks! |

I would suggest showing the person being stabbed, Cut away to something else then cut back to him being lifted in the air and sliding down. First for the stabbing. You could wrap sheet metal around the person's chest and stomach, then attach A thin piece of styrofoam and blood packets(just use sandwhich bags full of blood). They can stab into this. Or you can make a cast of the spear and make one end, fill up that part of the mold then make the rest HOLLOW. That way one end can collapse into the other(this is more difficult to pull off though). Then when you cut back. Make a full size dummy. Make a cast of the person's head, shoulders. Attach fake hands. Make it look exactly like the person. Make the part where they are stabbed kinda hollow. You can put something like tissue in the area they are stabbed to give it some resistance. Cover the tissue and everything inside the space with stage blood. When they lift the dummy, there will be blood all over the wound and running down. When it slides down there will be blood on the end because of the spear sliding against the bloody dummy. |

Thanks gore master. That sounds cool. And Robotic dream it is supposed to be shown from two different angles one close so you can see the guys face then another farther away from the other side so you can see him slide down. And A big monster thing has the spear. |

Great! If you don't have to keep it all in one shot, then Gore Master's plan sounds like a good one. Also, an effective impailing can be implied with creative angles, cutaways, and quick action, if it proves too difficult prosthetics and dummies.Good luck! |
