Topic: Knife in back of head

I'm trying to make an scene where the killer stabs an knife through the back of the head of the victum and it comes out the front. It needs to be all in one continuous shot. Please help |

If it's a quick shot and the head doesn't need to move much you can use a fake head. If so I can tell you the best way to make the head for that particular effect. Also does it come out through the mouth, forehead or what? |

I wish it was as simple as making a fake head. The knife will be coming though the mouth which will make it easier. I do need it to be done with a real persons head. It'll be aclose up shot but i can get rid of any imperfections later |

How will the person's head be moving? You could make a head with moving eyebrows and facial expressions. For that I would check out the book GRANDE ILLUSIONS. It can be VERY complicated. You could also have a collapsable knife to go in through the back of the head and a tongue appliance or something that can be fitted in the mouth which can be moved forward with their tongue or something. The appliance can be large at one end then come to a knife point at the other. If done carefully the person can make it stick out enough so you only see the knife end. Try having their mouth closed first then have them open it. When they open it the knife part should stick out some. It all depends on how everything is setup and will look. |
