I'm making the ultimate "swat" helmet, and have one slight problem. The helmet itself is completely closed, (the actor has NO way to see out) It was designed to hold cameras and be self contained. I have a nonworking vhs-c camera that i would like to canniblize for the view finder and ccd. this way i could mount them in the helmet and provide the actor a means of seeing. If anyone knows how to go about doing this, or knows where i could begin to look for info. it would be much appreciated. thanks for the help. CL

I've been thinking about this, for a while. At first i thought about using one of those cheap ccd cameras, you know the really small ones. But i had look at the connector pins on my camera's veiwfinder and theres a whole heap of them where as the one on those cameras has 2. The inside of a video camera is very delicate and can be wreaked very eaisily. You would have to find out what the pins on the veiwfinder is for, the circuitry for the actual camera itself would most likely be to large for what you want. |
