What would be a very easy way to make a good looking neck wound. Like a cut throat or animal bite?

Sounds stupid but i made a fairly good throat slit using toilet paper for skin flaps vasiline, make up and if you have the guy holding his hand over the cut you can have his hand over a tube and have blood either oozing or spraying(i like spraying) out from between his fingers.

Hope this helps

Well, if you can't do it right, improvise!

Describe the scene in more detail. There are hundreds of ways depending on what the scene will look like. Tell me what you want to see and I can tell you how to make it(neck wounds are my favorite).

I'm with Gnewbee with the tissue paper, works fine, but if suggest covering it up with layers of liquid latex, letting it dry and then covering the whole thing with flesh colored make-up. I just used that method for an arm wound and it looked great.
Anyway, best of luck.
