Ok...here's my question...if I capture in premiere using my RT2000 and edit it as a project, set to edit in quicktime dv ntsc format at a size of 320x240...will I be able to edit in that size, and play it back on a full screen monitor with out pixilization? Currently everything I do is at 720x480.

Thanks

Fink

Bueno, quizá pueda contestar tu pregunta.

Well, it sounds like you're capturing DV footage. So, if you edit at 320x240 and export at that size, don't expect to be able to send it back out as DV (via firewire).

I often work at 320x240. The quality is perfectly acceptable for VHS playback on a full screen monitor. If you keep your data rates at about one megabyte per second than you should be fine. I've never tried to use a Quicktime codec for full screen playback though. I'd say your safest bet would be to use an MJPEG or MPEG codec depending on your set-up. I have a DC10+, which offers hardware acceleration for the MJPEG codec and at 320x240 the result is often a little bit better than VHS when played back at full screen straight from the computer. However, I'd recommend you use whatever codec is best suited for your card.
