I was wondering how you made it so theat even when the camera shakes the bullet holes stay in the wall? What did you do with after effects to achieve this? |

I didn't do it, but I did see it. I'm pretty sure if you read his post he told you. Do a search for that thread. After Effects has some motion tracking abilities. |

Yup, I'm the one. What I did, was to take one image of the clip, and add the bullet holes the way I liked on a new layer. I then found two tracking points on the wall (a keyhole and a lightswitch), and added two high-contrast dots to the new layer. I then made an alpha channel from the layer, so I had just the bullet holes and the tracking points. Next, imported the background clip and the alpha-channeled image into After Effects (make sure you select Premultiplied for the alpha channel), and started keyframing, moving the image so that the two dots were over their tracking points at each frame (very boring!). Saved the project, loaded the image into PSP and removed the two tracking points from the alpha channel, and loaded the After Effects project. Render. That's basically it. Oh, and here's the video again. ------------------ ------------------------- "I was strolling on the Moon one day..." |

Interesting...so AE allows you to control an object's placement with the use of reference points? I wish Ray Dream Studio let me do that...Isaiah |

Where did you get the smoke for your clip? Did you purchase it, or is there somewhere where I can download it? |

I used the downloadable demo clips from Artbeats' site. Go to the Gun Stock page. ------------------ ------------------------- "I was strolling on the Moon one day..." |

Didn't know that AE could do that either but just thought I'd add to the post by saying that I downloaded that clip too and was very impressed by the effect. It looks stunning! Well done Chimp |
