A good section of questions in the forums deals with the Matrix. I think it would be a good idea to have a forum/acrhives for the matrix. There already is a FAQ section for lightsabers. This might reduce the congestion in this forum. This is just a thought, I'm not knocking on anyone that has matrix questions I really enjoy reading all the cool ideas and I think an FAQ for this would be a good idea. just a suggestion- sorry if I've made any of the moderators mad- I know you guys get tons of complaints and suggestions everyday.

Naw, what we need is a link to Benny's site on the front page and avoid a Matrix forum altogether.

Why do we need a Matrix forum? There are really only about 4 or 5 effects that people are interested in, and all or most of them have been answered and people are to lazy to look for them. Yes, the Matrix movies will make a trilogy but hasn't it been announced that they will use less spfx?

Please send suggestions directly to Webmaster Dale - much more efficient.

A FAQ page for Bullet Time FX wouldn't be automatically out of the question - it has been discussed to death here in the past.

Of course, with the tendency of many beginners to outright imitate (which is a basic stage in learning anything), there will always be a new SPFX extravaganza that spawns a gazillion "How do I ____________ like they did in Xyz Movie?" type questions.

Why a link to Benny's site? His bullet-time effect is not very good...

Not that I'm down on Benny, understand, it's just that effect is only so-so.

If you guys take any notice to the additions Dale keeps making to the boards, you would notice that there is a survey: would you like to have seprate forums for cgi, and physical effects? Well, there will never be a matrix forum, because like mentioned, there are only a few common effects frequently asked about, but, if you guys vote that you would like to have a seperate cgi forum, it would be the next best thing. Dale, you have my vote.

Did you guys click on the link to the voting page and actually vote?

I agree about the split in FX forums - may help a lot with the people who can't get enough of CGI and those that won't touch it with a 10 foot mouse.

A Bullet Time FAQ wouldn't be utterly out of the question, though.

I agree that there needs to be some Matrix topics in the FAQ area. As for an entire forum or Best of section, I'll look at the quantity of Matrix topics and see if there are enough discussion to warrant one.
In other news, I hope to get going on the forum mods Tuesday if time permits.
